Ownership Statement

This site was originally started by Masel Industries, Inc, a major manufacturer of orthodontic supplies. However, the site was transferred to the Masel Family. The site is maintained by members of the Masel family and not Masel orthodontics; the owners of this site are no longer part of the management team for Masel orthodontics. The site is not connected to lesaM, the operating company for Masel orthodontics.

Privacy Policy

The orthodontic information page will try to keep your private information private unless you request otherwise.

The information we receive depends upon what you do when visiting our site. We do not routinely collect any personally identifying information from people who visit our site to download information. If you request specific information and provide your email address we of course will use your email address to respond, and perhaps forward the information to others so they can respond.

We want to be very clear: We will not obtain personally-identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us.

If visit our site to download information

We do not routinely collect personal information from you when you visit our site to download information.

We are required to tell you that our site uses Apache software to serve pages. The software automatically collects certain information about you, including the domain which you use to login to the internet (aol.com or princeton.edu), the time you visit our site, the pages you request, the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to our site, the time they logged into our site, and if any error messages were generated.

We use the information we collect to measure the number of visitors to the different sections of our site, and to help us make our site more useful to visitors. We generally run the statistical package every one or two weeks and then purge all of the information.

We do not routinely collect any personally identifying information from people who visit our site and download information.

If you click on a banner ad

The bracesinfo.com also displays banner ads from various advertisers. The ads are served by third parties and if you click on the ads you will be taken to third party sites. We have no control over what information is gathered once you leave our site.

If you send us an email

If you send us an email, we use the information you provide to try to answer your questions or concerns. We sometimes also forward your email messages to other parties, for example orthodontists or insurance agents if we believe they would be better able to answer the question.

If you fill out a form requesting information

If you fill out a form requesting information requesting information on for example dental insurance, then we forward your request to the appropriate people. Those people include insurance agents, insurance companies or others. We may also save your email address or other information so we can provide additional information at a later date.

If you join our mailing list

If you join our mailing list, then you will receive occasional mailings from us. We do not disclose our mailing list to outside parties.

Postings on our webboard

If you post a message on our webboard, it will available for anyone to read. If you include your email address, your email address will be publicly available.

Parents rights

According to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, parents have the right to exclude personal information gathered on children under 13. If you would like your child deleted from our mailing list or a posting deleted from our webboard please send a request with an "email accompanied by digital signature" as required under the act to (I know this is dumb - but the law says I must require a digital signature).

Advertising Statement

We except banner ads, advertising links, and buttons from advertisers. The ads will normally be displayed in the advertiser sections in the top and bottom of the page. We also subscribe to several Banner ad services including Burst, Clicktrade, linkexchange and commission junction. We only accept family friendly ads.
