Need to know if this is dental or medical problem
More than 6 months ago, I began experiencing episodes of extreme vertigo that went on for nearly a week each time. While it hasn't been as extreme during the last few months, I experience dizziness. I also have a dull headache almost every day, & occasionally head pains; the headaches & pains are not focused in any certain area. My reason for contacting you: around 20 years ago I had similar symptoms; in hospital ER I was told my white-blood-cell count had more than doubled. The problem turned out to be a tooth that had been draining for a long time; & the symptoms started going away after I had the tooth removed. More than a year ago I noticed a horrible taste, seeming to come from a sideways wisdom tooth. As I have a low-paying job & no insurance, can you tell me if you think my current situation is the same as the one in the past? I need to know whether to go to a doctor or a dentist, & can't afford unnecessary bills. While I know draining teeth can be very serious, I'm worried it might be a medical problem.
Answer: Go to the dentist to check out the tooth

I notice that you wrote that you had a terrible taste from your back tooth. You should see the dentist for that and if its a wisdom tooth that is causing all your problem, have it pulled. I know the feeling of having not alot of money. Call around and ask if you can have a free consultation on your teeth and then figure out what is next. From the information from you, it may be from the tooth. Like I said, i would see the dentist first,as you may have a infection.
Good Luck
