No Lower Wisdom Teeth...issues

Hello there, I wonder if you can help. A few years ago (maybe 5) my two upper wisdom teeth came through. They seemed to come through fine, relatively level etc. my last dental check up a couple of years back (haven't been able to afford since) revealed via x-ray that I do not have a lower set...they just aren't there! Every few months, my upper teeth begin to move again (which can be painful) and now they've grown lower than the teeth beside them and have reached the lower gum. this was a little painful to begin with but it always seems to stop after a while and I'm fine....then a few months later, they go again. I'm just wondering if they are eventually going to stop or I'm going to start looking like a walrus.... Is it a case of bear with the pain for now and they will eventually set in place or can they continue growing? I'm worried that they will push too much on my lower jaw forcing it out of alighnment (my brother was once warned against this with his severe over-bite, he was told an opperation would be needed as it could affect his spine later in life!...really?) I can't currently afford a check-up so hence here asking on a free site :( please could you advise if my teeth are likely to settle down or if it's actually possible for them to keep growing down into my lower jaw? Kindest regards

Answer: your teeth will settle down

Your teeth will settle down, usually when you are missing teeth like you said on your lower wisdom teeth, the upper will keep coming down until it hits something. ( usually your lower wisdom teeth).

At your next dental visit, ask the dentist if you should remove the upper wisdom teeth one at a time.

It should not be difficult as they are erupted already, or leave them alone'
