Swelling gum bluish
about 3 yrs ago my gum swelled above dentures. Returned to dentist several times over the next year and half. An assistant would take off a bit of the denture. It did not help. Finally an xray was done which showed a root had been left in gum after an extraction. The root was removed last June. The gum turned a bluish color and was swollen painfully. No antibiotics was given after but a z pack was given before which did no good. When she removed the root a lot of pus came out she said. My face was swollen by my nose and under my eye. Finally just before Christmas She drained the gum again because it was so swollen and painful. She washed out a lot of pus again. I am allergic to penicillin, keflex and others. I was given ciprofloxacn 500mg/ Took it twice a day, for a month, The swelling went down in my face, only remained right in the gum. When I ran out she prescribed a z pact azithromycin 250 mg, my face started swelling again while I was taking them. Not strong enough I guess. My gum is bluish looking and swollen. She x-rayed it before she drained it in December and she said there was nothing else in there. What can I do? I need help in the worse way. Please
