Swollen gums and braces?
I have braces, and I was wondering what I need to combat against swollen gums. When I was younger, A dentist suggested that I have A laser procedure done to "shave down" my gum-line. My current dentist says that I don't need to do that, and he says that its because of the braces. I have no bleeding, Just when I smile, all you can see is mostly gums, and not the nearly perfect teeth. I have tried the salt rinse, which works a little, and using a water-pick and flossing. What else can I do? any at home remedies that I can use before resulting to the laser surgery?

as you said, you have no bleeding in the gums, therefore, its probably just a bit of excessive gum compared to the average person. The dentist wants to wait till your treatment is over and then examine what needs to be done.
Keep using the salt rinse as it will prevent any swelling and keep up the good work
Good Luck in having the perfect smile for the rest of your life.
