Tooth extraction
my daughter is 12 and she has been wearing braces for 18 months now. she had to have a permanent tooth removed because it was growing on her palate. her orthodontist was just using conventional braces and elastics to straighten her teeth. we have moved to california and have been trying to find a new orthodontist to take over where we left off. one orthodontist wants to extract a tooth on the other side, and another suggests we use braces to separate where her tooth was extracted, then have her wear a retainer with a fake tooth in it until she is fully grown, and then have an implant put it in. all of this seems extreme. what is your opinion?
Answer: Have the tooth removed

I beleive in what the orthodontist is suggesting and having the tooth removed, and then a retainer to replace the space, As she gets older she can get the implant put in and not worry about the missing tooth.
this is a common procedure and should not do any harm to her.
The whole procedure is not difficult and should not be difficult to do.
Good Luck in having the perfect smile for the rest of your life
