Tooth filling

Hi, I had a tooth filling done in 10/2011 due to being sensitive to cold and sweets. I now still am sensitive to cold even more. I am also getting some headaches and dont know if its because of that. The tooth hurt a little when i floss in between. Dentist said at the time of filling that its deep. Would the sensitivetly go away? what should i do??

Answer: sensitvity should be gone by now

it is common when you have a deep filling that the tooth may be sensitive. If by today, the tooth is still sensitive, there are 2 possible problems. First problem is that the tooth nerve is dying and will need a root canal and a crown. The second one would be that along the gumline, the tooth is exposed and need to be filled for the sensitivty to subside.

Like I said, if by today the tooth still bothers you, go and see the dentist.

Good Luck
