Before & after jaw distraction surgery before braces with IMDO for dental overbite
Comments: This video describes before and after changes in Tom who had IMDO surgery to correct his dental overbite. IMDO is a modification of normal jaw distraction surgery used for the correction of mandibular hypoplasia. IMDO is part of the range of orthognathic surgical procedure that oral & maxillofacial surgeons use for jaw correction. IMDO is commonly used in conjunction with, or followed up by orthodontic treatment, and can be performed in children, rather than more classic orthognathic procedures which are performed in late adolescence or adulthood.
