1. Avoiding Needless Dental Implant Bridge Remakes - loose abutment screws with difficult access

Comments: I filmed this series of videos to help those individuals with difficult to solve implant problems. Some of these problems include loose and/or broken implant abutment screws. The goal of this video is to show that you can avoid remaking an implant bridge through the use of a dental microscope. This case deals with a situation referred by a general dentist. The past dental history includes teeth numbers 13 and 14 that were replaced with an abutment supported cement retained implant bridge. The two unit bridge was previously cemented with Tempbond. The patient presented two loose implant screws. Access was made to discover the location of the screws, as well as their angle of insertion. A solution of tarter and stain remover was used to meticulously clean the inside chamber and threads the implant fixtures. The patient went home with tightened implants and did not have to pay for a new bridge.
