Wendy leg braces and headgear Poor Wendy. First braces on her teeth and headgear. And now the weakness in her legs has gotten worse. She goes to the clinic for her new leg braces today. The nurse helps her with her compression stockings and helps her put her new braces on. She practices walking at the clinic before leaving and struggling to walk down the stairs in them. Later we see her at home, waking up, putting on her new braces, removing her headgear, eating breakfast and brushing her teeth before reinstalling the headgear. MY NEW BRACE FACE!!!! :( Oh ya and I have to keep it on fro 4-5 months and u have to keep my braces for 20 months and I get bottom braces in 5 months. For anyone getting braces and or headgear DO NOT BE SCARED! It is not as bad as you think. It only herts the next day and later that day for about 3-7 days. Mom's orthodontics failed. Pain ensued for her. No extractions or headgear for her son. As a teen, this patient's mother was treated by a "traditional orthodontist".
