Numbness & Loss of taste After Crown Put In

I had a crown put on sometime around Nov 11 on the left side of my mouth. When my dentist went in with the 2nd dose of Novocain I felt a POP. Never felt that before, nor had issues with Dental work in the past. Three days later my tongue is still numb. I call him up he tells me it happens and because it’s a nerve it will take longer to heal. Something about nerves not healing as fast as a cut on your skin, then he goes on telling me it might take up to two to three months to get back to normal. It’s been approximately two months. Now I don’t feel the numbness just that my taste buds are not working properly, I think I get all the taste from the right side which is working. Two to three times a day I would taste something salty on the left side. Don’t know what it could be since I am not eating or drinking anything when this happens. Sometimes I get a sharp shooting pain, and it’s unbearable. Originally it started on the back left, now it has moved to the front side, almost to the tip. Then last week I felt pain on my right side, like its moving? Then my gums start to hurt. When I originally had issues on the left side I felt like there was something in my throat, and then when I swallow I would fell a lump every time I swallow. And I would feel my whole throat knot up and it would hurt. That went away, but now I feel something on the right side and a lump on the right side every time I swallow. Depending on how my neck is I can swallow and not feel the lump if I move my neck from one position to the next I won’t feel it. So I am wondering if this problem can move from one part of the tongue to the next. And if I am having issues with taste buds would that affect my throat in anyway? I have never had issues with my mouth nor throat before my nerves be punctured. Please let me know if this is normal?
