Invisalign was a huge mistake

I first decided to undergo Invisalign treatment because I had a problem with my bite. It was not exactly an underbite but my top teeth were occluding with my bottom teeth in the front. I was also looking forward to getting straighter teeth as an added bonus. My bite is now exponentially worse than it was before Invisalign. They made the occlusion of my front teeth so much worse that I can no longer bite down with my molars which means I cannot chew my food properly. My dentist and I submitted for a mid course correction because this was becoming a problem. I don't know if my dentist failed to explain the problem appropriately but Invisalign sent back new trays and the problem only got worse. At the end of what was supposed to be a 12 month treatment, we submitted for a refinement to try again to address the problem. New trays were sent and 3 months later at the end of the refinement, the problem was no better. So I went into this with the goal of fixing my bite and instead they made it so much worse that I can't even chew my food like a normal person. The problem with Invisalign is that there is a small window to make adjustments as opposed to traditional braces were an Orthodontist can make small and appropriate adjustments along the way. I don't think this would have been such a big problem if the people at Invisalign were more competent and actually looked at the pictures and molds submitted of my teeth again and again. I feel that Invisalign was one of the worst decisions I have ever made and I would never recommend them to another person.
