braces and aligning my jaw
i have had braces for the past several years, my jaw is unaligned and so my orthodontist is trying to straighten my teeth by wearing rubber bands to make sure the lines between my top 2 and bottom 2 teeth match. but is this even possible since my jaw isn't aligned? or should i just give up and have him take them off?

I am not sure what you mean by your jaw is out of alignment. It sounds like your teeth are not aligned and that is why the orthodontist wants you to wear rubber bands. That will correct the alignment of your teeth. If your jaw was out of alignment, you would have trouble closing down your teeth together as they would not meet. Also alot of clicking and difficult to eat. If you feel that this is not the problem, then go a and see another orthodontist for a 2nd opionion, its usually free.
