Braces If I Have Sensitive Teeth?

It is very common to have some patients with senstive teeth and still get braces.  Especially the older we get the more our teeth are sensitive.  There are also patients who get get braces with gum diesease. The purpose of getting the braces may help you in the long one to make room for all the teeth so you can clean them properly and hopefully less sensitivy.  When do doing so, you should only use sensoydne toothpaste( made specially for senistive teeth)  "Do not switch toothpaste as there is a coaing on the toothpaste to help the sensitivity.  Also I recommen to put a little toohpast onto a cotton swap and go over the gumline and tooth that is the most sensitive and wait a couple of day s to see if it helps.   Braces has nothing to do with senistive teeth but your teeth may be sore from all the moving of the braces.    Good Luck
