Eligible to have braces as older than 18?
I had a braces for 4 months when I was 14/15 years. Then I was told I have to have my tooth out but I refused as I was scared... Now I'm older, 21 in Full time Education.. Now, I feel I'm braver than I was to take on a tooth being pulled out, will I be eligible to have free braces? Kind regards Jenna Evans

The dear of having any teeth removed is very common! You are older now and you most likely cam understand better now as to what will happen. There are so many different ways to get over the fear of having a tooth removed. It always sounds worst then it really would be. If no one really explains to you what will exactly happen during it ,its normal to have that fear. If you have a huge fear some dentist offer nitrous oxide. Or n20 in their office. This would be a mask they put over your nose and are still able to breathe. It releases n20 small amounts. It helps you relax and sometimes even takes away certain sensations while having dental work completed. It works by blocking the part part of your brain that feels certain sensations. It is set I'm very low and flushed out of you before leaving the office as you breathe pure oxygen before sent home. You can take deep breathes in your nose while having the injection to numb the area of thw toorh that needs to be removed. Sometimes it blocks the feeling completely of getting the injection.then take another deep breathe when they are "wiggling the tooth to be removed. Chances are you will not feel it at all just pressure but it should not hurt. If you feel pain let the dentist know amd they cam give you more anes so you don't feel it. Now as far as getting free treatment for braces. Like everyone and every business they need to get paid for services rendered and supplies such as the braces they apply to you. There mist likely will ne some type of out of pocket charge for the treatment. Check with your insurance to make sure it covers orthodontic.care amd how much they will cover. Many offices offer payment plans to work with you. You cam ask the office you go to if they offer any student discounts as well. Another thing you could look into is if the syate you live in offers any full time student medical/dental assistance.
