Failed childhood orthodontic treatment

My childhood orthodontic treatment (provided by a second rate regular dentist) failed after my using a bite block for a year. Now I can't bite in the way my lower jaw was "trained" to because my lower teeth are pushed 3/4" back by the reverse side of my four front teeth and there is also NO molar occlusion that way. Nothing meshes or even touches except the tips of the eye teeth with the tips of my front bottom teeth (and the tips of the bottom teeth with the thick backs of my front teeth) For years I forced myself to "bite for the dentist" that way (the bite block way) and as a result so many cavity-repairs and crowns were shaped wrongly, etc....I look so ugly and retarded while chewing (as was true BEFORE any bite-block treatment)and have learned to cushion my molars with my tongue the rest of the time because as stated, a normal molar closure(non-overbite)is impossible... but that has aggravated the existing overbite (due to tongue action against the front teeth) in a way that wasn't supposed to happen. And due to the bad occlusion (even with my overbite bite which is completely flat now) and stressed jaw I have to constantly hold my mouth open or force my mouth to close over open teeth, which is unnatural and extremely unattractive. My lower face always feels so WRONG! I have become obsessed with the wrongness of my mouth and at age 63 this feels so cruel. I am also fighting gum disease and know I can't get invisalign unless this is cleared up completely, but with my exposed roots and all the related problems, it seems like I will never get to the end of it. So what help if any can I expect to be able to get now? My present dentist has no advice for me in spite of repeated hints from me etc.....Other regular dentists won't talk to me about this either.
