I usually recommend you change them when the rubber elastics snap and or get really fat (stretchout). Try and wear them while eating, if not take them off and put it on your pinky finger so you won't forget to put them back on when finish eating. It is very important to wear them all the time.  When you leave them out for more than 1 or 2 hours= the work you did will go back. It takes twice as long to move your teeth  so when the elastics are not on, the teeth will go back. Also usually first thing in the morning you can put fresh one for the day. Sometimes they snap which is normal then you would put fresh new ones on. Also they can become fat and strecthed out so you would want to change them again. Make sure you keep extra ones with you incase any one of these happens to you, you can replace them as soon as possible.  Good Luck and I know you will have the perfect smile for life.
