How so I go about getting reverse treatment?
I just wanted some advice to go forward with some reverse treatment. I had MILD crowding in my mouth as a teen. Two canines stuck out a bit on the top, and a couple of incisors were wonky on the bottom but nothing too servere, in fact I never wanted braces, I liked my smile. My bite and the quality of my teeth were also both spot on. my dentist convinced my mum when I was 13 to get orthodontic treatment to correct the mild crowding and some how got the treatment on the NHS with an orthodontic in a different practice when I was 14. They pulled out 4 premolars and put braces on for approx 1.5 years. The amount of space that was created by having the teeth pulled was unnecessary. my 1st premolars were pretty big teeth. Within the first couple of months my teeth were all straighen out but I was left with 4 giant gaps were the teeth were extracted that then we\'re require to be closed up. To do so took a while and as a result my teeth got pushed right back into my mouth and the teeth that were bracket got pushed inside until my arches were both really narrow. now between the teeth that were bracket and the teeth that weren\'t there\'s a good few mm difference from were they lie in the gum which I\'ve never seen before in pictures of good orthodontic results. (surely all the molars should line up and not suddenly dramatically narrow in?) I now hate my profile. It\'s incredibly dished in. my smile is narrow and has so much dark space at the corners. I would rather have a couple of crooked teeth than the mess that the orthodontic left. By the end he still never fully closed the gap. there\'s still 2mm left on the top on both sides.
Over 3 years have past now and I regret it so much going through with the treatment. it\'s ruined my face. I\'ve also had problems with my jaw since braces. it constantly aches and cracks everytime I chew food. my tongue has no room now either. I want to try and reverse the whole thing. I want to push the teeth back out so that they\'re in line again with the back molar and the wisdom tooth and pull everything a bit forward. I\'d want to hopefully the re open the extraction sites again if that would produce the best result. I just don\'t know how to go about it. I know it\'s going to cost a lot but I I\'m willing to go for it now that I\'m old enough to sign my own papers. could you offer some advise on what to do? where to go? the cost? the best options? I feel the orthodontics in my area wouldn\'t be advanced enough to be able to do what I want. a few have just suggested putting me back in brace again which is just going to make it worse by forcing everything even further back. Im not bothered about straightening my teeth. I was want my nice profile back. my wider arch and my normal looking smile. thank you
