I Need Braces, But Plan On Moving?
Okay so im 15 and I need braces. But I might move in about a year but my parents arent totally sure. The problem is that my mom thinks if I get braces now and we move, were going to have to switch orthodonist which she thinks will cost alot of money! So is there any alternative to my problem? If we were to move to another state, whats the aproximate cost? Please I desperatly need help!

Answer: You can start your treatment where you live now and then switch to another orthodontist

You can start your treatment in the city you live now and tell the orthodontist that you may be moving in the near future. The orthodontist will work with you and the new one when you move. Your parents will not have to pay twice for the treatment. Both orthodontist will work with your parents as far as the cost will be. This is a common practice for orthodontist that have patients that they started and then they move and another orthodontist continues the work and finish them off. As far as the cost, every orthodontist has there own price as far as what needs to be done and time wise too. That is something that I cannot answer for you as far as the cost. Good Luck
