Lower teeth protruding badly due to braces

Dear Dr, My problem is crossbite and I got my braces (Innovation-R) 2 mths back and now the lower teeth is fixed with the bigger wire, by my dentist; who has 30 years experience (not orthodontist). My lower teeth are now being pushed forward further, to the extent that I have blisters on the inside of the lower lip. Both of my first bicuspid from the lower jaw was removed to push the lower teeth further behind the upper teeth. But then, somehow this is pushing forward, but then its also aligning all the teeth in the process. Is this normal ? Will the teeth be pushed forward and then backward ? There is an extra substance that was sticked to my lower first molar's in order to give way for the lower teeth to be pushed behind the upper teeth. The lower teeth is protruding so bad. I am not able to close my mouth with ease. Its also quite visible from the outside. Its really made it worst. I am thinking of a second opinion. I am so worried what damage this is doing. I am in desperate need to find out if the above would be a normal process, or its braces gone wrong for some reason. Thanks In Advance. Looking forward to hear from you. Rgds Bob Sime

Answer: lower teeth now moving forward.

By

By the sounds of it they placed what is called build ups on your teeth in the back on the bottom. This will allow your bite to open and the orthodontist or dentist to  move your upper teeth felp with forward easier with braces. It is very common. Also they are most likely aligning your lower teeth first with braces which can cause them to move forward when things are settling. For the blisters they may have recommended to use dental wax for the discomfort or a warm salt water rinse to help with them. Later on in the process the dentist may have you wear elastics. This will allow your lower jaw to be pushed or trained to go back to the proper bite. This will also help with your concern of them sticking out. They first again need to align everything as far as your teeth and onace that is taken care of start to correct your bite.
