Retainer is causing serious pain!!

I had my braces off about 2 weeks ago and was made a retainer, just a regular one that clips in my molars with the wire across the front, my moods were wrong and the retainer didn't fit right so they did another mold and then made the retainer to fit but still had issues, after sending me home a few days the retainer settled in And it was fitting find except the wire in the front wasn't snug but I figured that could wait till my next appointment because I live so far from my dentist. Then just today I started having severe pain in my gums when I put it in and I also noticed my front teeth have moved. I'm really nervous because I wear it 24h a day as suggested but my dentist said if my teeth move from not wearing it I will have to pay to have them fixed again. I'm still wearing it but the pain is so bad I really wanna remove it. And as its Christmas they aren't open till Tuesday. So not sure what to do. Obviously something is not right for me to have pain all of a sudden starting today and I'm worried my teeth will just move more and I'm in so much pain.
