The fixed wire at the back of my teeth has been replaced, is it bad if it’s too close to the gums?
I am on a trip abroad. The permanent fixed wire at the back of my teeth came off the other day. I got an apt with an orthodontist here and they have replaced it but I’ve noticed it’s very very close to my gums, almost touching. It feels very sensitive. I’m worried that it will be difficult to clean or prone to gum inflammation being so high up. Would you recommend me getting it moved down? I’m just wondering, I would appreciate a professional’s opinion. I am female, 30 years old and a healthy weight. The previous time I had my wire fixed, it caused me no problems. It had to be put high up because of my bite. However, this time, it is so far up it is touching the gums and it feels very sensitive, I’m even worried about the potential removal as it could be painful being so close to my gums.
