Upper row of teeth asymmetrical and ruining my face

I have very messed up teeth but it's hard to tell, I have a bit of an over bite but that's not my concer, my upper teeth do not match up to my bottom teeth, my bottom teeth are relatively straight but my upper teeth are like a roller coaster, you can't tell they're messed up by talking to me, but when I open my mouth you can see it intensely. The left side of my upper teeth are pretty normal but then the right side of all my miler lean outwards, like you can see the bottom of those teeth when just looking straight with my mouth open, where as the other side they just look straight. It's completely embarrassing and has caused me a lot of problems, I don't take pictures ever because my face looks so even around my jaw and mouth area and its so embarrassing, will getting braces fix this problem? And if so how long? Are there and other routes I could take to get my teeth symmetrical
