Will I Have To Wear Braces The Entire Treatment?
I had a spacer put on the top of my mouth to help stretch it out so one of my teeth that is growing up above of the others will have room to come down. I'm supposed to have my braces on for 18-24 months. My question is will I have to wear my braces for the entire treatment?

The answer to your question is will depend on your co-operation( not breaking brackets and following the orthodontist request to do what he/she wants you to do, keeping all your appointment on schedule,etc.). Most orthodontic treatment range from 18 months to 3 years, it will also depends how much work they have to do moving the teeth into the right alignment. Every patient is different, therefore every case will be different. It is very difficult to let you know how long you need the braces for when I cannot see your case. Just listen to the orthodontist and do what they tell you to do as you are now wearing the spacers to help your other teeth to come in. That is a start for the orthodontist for your treatment and will help out the length of the treatment. Good Luck into having the perfect smile for the rest of your life.
