Extractions and Tongue Reduction?

I had bicuspid extraction as a teen. I have had serious problems as an adult. Several orthognathic surgereies..sleep apnea et. I have had the extraction spaces reopened on maxilla..after the failed first surgery. I just had revision along with total joint replacement if tmjs. I was a class 2. I believe in reality I had the adenoid face situation. I am still having trouble with the tongue being able to fit comfortably in the palate.. My question is. I was extremely small for my age when the teeth were extracted. I started puberty at 17..I was still growing quite a bit in college. The teeth were extracted at age 14. I am female. Is it possible that the extractions inhibited the normal growth of the palate..bc. We have reopened the extractions & pushed teeth forward..however as soon as lower jaw was brought forward again in the 2nd surgery..I am again with a tongue that does not seem to fit. If I was a very late bloomer..& teeth were extracted too soon..could it have inhibited the shape & growth of the palate. I now have trouble talking ..sleeping et. I am supposed to keep tongue to roof of mouth & lips together..which is very hard for me. They opened airway so much..I don\'t think still hav sleep apnea..but having a lot of throat and reflux problems. My palate just does not fit my tongue when the teeth & jaws are in occludion. I am considering tongue reduction.
