Flippers After Teeth Removed?

I had the four bottom front teeth removed Monday Nov. 22 and had a flipper put in. How long do I have to wait to remove that flipper at night?

Answer: Try and wear flipper full time for 4 weeks

I would try and wear it full time for at least one month. Except clean them twice a day and rinse your mouth also. The older we get, the longer it takes for the gum tissues to heal. Even if the gum tissues are healed, keep wearing the flipper(partial denture) full time. After about a month or so you can remove it for night time only. Make sure you keep the flipper(partial denture) in glass cup or denture holder with water and some mouthwash. Brush your flipper as if you were brushing your own teeth. Also don"t forget to brush your gum tissues with a soft toothbrush gently everyday. You should be seeing your dentist to make sure everthing is healing and healthy. You may get some spots on the gum tissues due to the flipper leaving a small blister. Your dentist should grind down the area on your flipper to heal the gum tissues. Good Luck
