Leaving Root after extraction

I had extremely bad gums in my opinion and opted to have the remainder of my teeth removed and just get dentures. I have faced numerous difficulties after this process. All greeted with this is normal and part of the healing process. I lost faith in their ability to help me. I no longer want to go back to them. Recently I had a bone fragment 2 inches long and 1/4 wide that got exposed from my lower denture rubbing through the skin on lower right side of mouth. After a week of this bone being exposed it became very course and rubbed my tongue raw. I rubbed on it not knowing what it was. I felt a very sharp piece on the back side, So like an idiot I pulled on it. This large piece tore from my mouth and caused so much pain, I literally urinated a small amount. I felt 5 places I could only assume are nerves. After a week they shriveled and dried up. The remainder went below surface of skin. The area is still very tender. Now, another large piece of bone very close to that area is coming through the skin and I do not want or can handle to go through this without medication and alone. What should I do. I can not afford another dentist and when I have called around. I\'m being told this is normal, but the can adjust my lower denture. I\'m about ready to lose my mind. Is this normal and can I get legal help. I live in the state of Missouri.
