This is completely normal for this to happen. When the child is having teeth erupt the gums sometimes become puffy and bleed. This is because the tooth is coming in and causing pressure on the gums. The more that you brush and massage the tooth and gum area where this is happening the better. It can help the tooth erupt faster then it normally would. If they are having alot of pain or gets a high fever give normal pain medicine such as childrens tylenol. Having them bite on a warm wash cloth can help get rid of some of the discomfort as well. You should also floss in front of the area that is bleeding. This can help all the bacteria that may get trapped there come out and left over food as well. You want to keep this area as clean as possible. For some reason you notice the area becomes very inflammed and the tooth will not come out after a few months take her in. The dentist may have to expose the tooth then. They would numb the area then make a small incision on the gums hoping to allow an area for the tooth to come through. This is the worst case secenario though!!! My advice just let nature takes its course and you will see a tooth soon and the bleeding should stop.
