Black Teeth
I have a few black teeth and some that are embedded in my gums, what can I do? I don't know when I can get to the dentist, I smoke a pack of cigarettes a day and I drink beer, I went to a dentist and he gave me antibiotics, which I am out of, I have been to a dental screening, but they can't do anything till I get a stress test.

Usually when teeth become black, there is no longer an opportunity for restoration without a guarded prognosis. Teeth that are broken at the gumline and embedded in your tissues, need to be removed. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done until then. Antibiotics will keep the tooth or teeth calm for a small amount of time, however the infection is still present until the source, the tooth, is restored or removed. If you are needing to complete a stress test, you more than likely have high blood pressure. Until your blood pressure is resolved or medications can regulate it, it is not safe to remove teeth. As soon as you recieve medical clearance, schedule an appointment with your dentist.
