has my abscess spread to a location antibiotics can not treat?

okay I have been to the hospital twice in the last month to try to get rid of an abscessed tooth. the first time I was placed on clindimicine 300mg three times a day, and received a 600mg shot while in the hospital. that did not totally take car of the problem. the soft pallet under my jaw was still a little swollen, though I was no longer in any pain. the second time I went to the hospital they put on on 500mg of penicillin 4 times a day. I am now on day 7 of 10 and my gums are no longer inflamed and the tooth is no longer in pain. however my cheek and the soft pallet under my jaw are extremely swollen and do not seem to be going down what so ever. I am in agonizing pain when I try to open my mouth to take a bite of food, or to yawn. the swollen spot under my jaw has me in tears every time I try to turn my head more than slightly in any direction, or when it is slightly chilly, or when I lay down, or when I swallow, or when I sneeze or cough. or even when the slightest bit of pressure is placed on it including my hair just brushing passed it. I can not stand to have this going on any longer, but unfortunately I do not have dental insurance, or even a job, and there are absolutely no free dental clinics anywhere near me, so going to a dentist is out of reach at the moment. is there any way that the infection could have spread somewhere the antibiotics I have been placed on can not reach, or anything I can ask the hospital to test to get better results, so that I can be out of pain and resume my job search?

Unfortunately, no matter how many antibiotics you take, or how frequently, the source of the infection is still present. You need to have the tooth treated or removed as soon as possible. It is not good to expose your body to prolonged antibiotics as your body can build an immunity. An infection in the mouth, can be especially dangerous due to the proximity of the brain and the direct route from the mouth to the blood stream. Some dentists work directly with patients in need, also check your local health department. You need to have this taken care of immediately especially since you have already been treated several times in the hospital. This is only going to continue to worsen. It will not get better on its own.
