Swollen face and gums
I went in the Dental Office on Thursday the 5th with a toothache and swollen face. The Dentist said I need a root canal but he can\'t do that until my face was not swollen anymore. But he cut my gum and inserted a rubber thing I don\'t exactly know the name of it but it is suppose to catch the ooze when my face drains. The first day was fine then next day my gum was so swollen it covered most my tooth. Friday went ok except a little bleeding in the middle of the night. Now my gum is so swollen it covers my whole tooth and it gushing blood a lot. The tooth is a premolar close to the front I think it\'s tooth number 4. When I talk people can see the blood on my front teeth and in the back. I woke up in the middle of the night with blood all over my pillow and my face. Should I go to the emergency room. It\'s Sunday January 8th.

You must have had a bad infection, which is why your face was swollen. Just keep doing what the dentist told you to do. The emergency room may not be able to help you as they do not have a dentist on board.
Try and put ice on face to help the swelling. and refrain from doing too much bending down and excercising work. Take it easy until all swelling is gone. The infection is draining from the tooth.
