Hard bump dentist said was not dental

About a year ago, I started getting terrible sinus type headaches and numbness in my upper teeth, front. I found this hard bump under my nose, right aat and slightly above my gum line. I went to dr who ordered a ct scan (no contrast) and told me to see a dentist. The dentist did an xray and said it was not dental but that that area was generally benign. The ct scan (which turned out to be of my sinuses) did not "pick up" the lump. The dr sent me to ent who said the pain was probably tmj and that the lump was discovered and probably had always been there. The headaches/nose/eye pain continued, then I started getting swelling in my face and blurriness in my right eye. Then, the lump began growing, twice its original size and now extends down below gum line and is a softer bump down there. I made an appt with oral surgeon (which won't be for a while)- I wonder if I should go back to another dentist for second opinion?

Answer: hard bump near front teeth

Seeing an Oral Surgeon is exactly what I would recommend.  It sounds like it is being missed by the ENT and the CT scan was not low enough to capture the mass.  It is dangerous that it has grown and hopefully is benign, however you cannot assume.  THe Oral surgeon can take additional scans and radiographs to properly diagnose and treat the area.  Do not put the appointment off, this needs to be addressed immediately.
