In relation to seeing different dentists and concerns about my teeth

I have OCD and for years have been obsessed with brushing and flossing my teeth (sometimes hours a day and made it bleed as much as possible, but stopped already). It has got to the point now that everytime I brush it hurts, which I guess is the gum recession. I have seen lots of dentist and my usual dentist (NHS) says I am doing an "excellent" job cleaning my teeth while everyone else (in particular the hygienists - I see different ones) do not take this view as much and suggest I need to brush better, like not so aggressive. At present, I brush usually less than 10 minutes a day (maybe more?) but I can not afford to see a few dentists a year (even though I have great teeth) to reassure my OCD so given they are all good dentists, how do I know if I am doing an "excellent job" or really in some years my teeth will fall out due to this over brushing? As above, I look after my teeth much better than I used to, but really worried I have left it too late. Any thoughts? I also think I suffer from bad breath.

Asked the dentists, they all do not think I do. No medical issues, however, can this under x minutes a day brushing be a cause of bad breath? I of course use a tongue scraper but that does not do a good enough job. One dentist warned me not be so hard to not scrape off my taste buds so ok if it does not bleed. Further, if I get tarter build up, I once saw an emergency dentist for something minor (not that) and he was annoyed about this (as in I could have waited). How serious is tarter buildup, like can it wait a week or how long to be professionally cleaned? Also, some hygienists do not use that ultrasonic thing, how good can they clean without this? I have had that Air Flow treatment and it was useless as I have white teeth already. Lastly, I do not drink tea/coffee in case it will rot my teeth (like have less white teeth). I would like to start back to that, is it ok to drink this once a day or do I stick to only water?
